Dr Polly Hing
Dr Polly graduated in 2006 from Adelaide University and started her dental career in public practice. She was recognised for outstanding dental work and promoted to senior dental officer role at the Primary Care Unit – Adelaide Dental Hospital after 6 months of employment.
Her career in private practice started in 2008 where she worked at 4 different dental clinics, which gave her an excellent ability to learn and understand a wide range of dental issues and patient requirements.
In 2010 she bought into a practice and later founded Optimal Dental Care in 2015. During this time she developed excellent patient to dentist skills, with particular interest in managing the dentally anxious, special needs, and paediatrics.
She has a special interest in endodontics, prosthodontics, implants and cosmetic dentistry, but her love has always been with general dentistry.
Recently she welcomed baby Alexandra to her family, while enjoying cooking, gardening, spending time with her husband, and learning to train a stubborn 43kg Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Dr Souchin Sam
Dr Souchin Sam completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 1995. Upon graduating, she practiced in both Melbourne and country Victoria in the private and public sectors. Dr Sam has known Dr Polly since childhood and they grew up alongside each other. Dr Sam joined Optimal Dental Care when the Parkside practice opened in 2015. Dr Sam has gained extensive experience in preventative and restorative dental treatment.
She prides herself in providing dental care to her patients in a warm, relaxed and compassionate manner. She’s committed to continuous learning, always aiming to enhance her knowledge and skills to better care for her patients. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Endodontology (ASE) and the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). In her spare time, Dr Sam is very family orientated and has a keen interest in cooking her native Cambodian dishes.
Dr Benjamin Dang
Dr Ben Dang is a registrar at the Royal Adelaide and has graciously offered his advanced specialised services in oral surgery. Dr Dang joined the team in 2024 and is currently specialising to become an oral and maxillo facialsurgeon. One of the most prestigous and difficult pathways in dentistry and medicine.
